This movie looks fantastic—I loved the cinematography. It’s super underrated, and if it weren’t for Letterboxd, I never would’ve found this gem. The plot is solid from start to finish. They wrapped up all the important details perfectly by the end. John Travolta and Nancy Allen? Their chemistry is *chef’s kiss*—so good. And that ending?ContinueContinue reading “Blow Out (1981) Film Review”

The Public Eye (1992) Film Review
A great neo-noir film utilizing Joe Pesci as a specimen, and not as an actor, because you can leave it Pesci to give justice to any character you give him. He gracefully portrayed the odd man, giving you no choice but emphatize with his character. Solid script that is quite easy to follow.Barbara Hershey played theContinueContinue reading “The Public Eye (1992) Film Review”
Bad Lieutenant (1992) Film Review
A poignant film of a spiraling man that cannot be redeemed.Fantastic dialogues. One of the best performances I’ve seen from an actor. Harvey Keitel puts himself into the darkness his character possesses. There was no relief as you watch. It’s not a film that you can watch if you’re not in stable mind and soul. ThisContinueContinue reading “Bad Lieutenant (1992) Film Review”

Narc (2002) Film Review
Dark and scarring. One of the most impressive and immersive drug crime film I have seen. There was no let up. All film long, I was on edge.Great dialogue. Great progression. Terrific performances from Liotta and Patric. Definitely showcased Liotta’s range as a underrated legend. 4 out of 5
Kiss the Girls (1997) Film Review
Very 90’s approach to a detective crime noir drama. Morgan Freeman did his best. Its not him. Its the overall story. The side characters weren’t convincing, in fact, they were corny. Very 90’s. Not a bad casual watch though, but easily could’ve been a 90 minute flick. 2.5 out of 5
