I feel like social media connects me to the world but isolates me from real life. So, in an effort to stay in touch with reality, I put a timer on my usage of my social media apps. If I can’t follow a simple timer then I’m afraid I wouldn’t be able to take myself seriously.
I also feel like this is a mental exercise to see if I can keep my words I say to myself. I feel like this could help me be a better person, not necessarily become good person, but better. God knows how much shitty things I’ve done already. At least with simple tasks I set to achieve good morale, I could feel better for myself.
